Welcome to Rafaella's Scribal Gallery
I've done four original kingdom-level scrolls. (woohoo, all four!)
Alyssia County Scroll, December 2002 (given 12th Night 2003). She wanted authentic Merovingian.
Scroll for Lady Alianna le Gras (Order of the Goutte de Sang), July Coronation 2001
Design by Lord Jason the Voracious and Lady Alexandria, calligraphy and illumination by Senhora Rafaella.

Order of the Goutte de Sang scroll for Katarina di Pazzi, done for 12th Night backlog contest, Jan. 2002.
The weird coloration on the background is due to cobbling two different scans together.
The overall scroll was too big for my scanner and it took two passes.
Order of the White Scarf Scroll, 1999. Given to Yvon-Maurice Charon, now Balthazar.
Incredibly sucky scan. Sorry.
I did four "tokens of esteem" scrolls for the Dragon's Mist Defender's Tournament, June 2002. Each of the four Defenders (A&S, Heavy, Rapier, Archery) got a small scroll with essentially the same text but a different initial B.
This is the Rapier Defender scroll.
An Tir has a "charter" or promissory scroll system. Here's a smattering of some charters I've painted.
The pictich key/square work took forever but came out really nice. I should have started in the middle on that top bit instead of working in.
Sigh. Live & learn.
This one I'm pretty proud of cuz the harp and the book areas were blank.
I learned to use gold leaf and started using it on charters too. Quick and flashy!
